How the Four-Prong Grip Works

Installing a standard nut in wood often requires holding both sides simultaneously, which is impossible in blind-hole applications. The four-prong T-nut solves this by utilizing sharp steel tines stamped into its flange. When hammered into a pre-drilled pilot hole, the prongs bite deep into the wood fibers. As an M5 bolt is threaded in from the front, the prongs lock against the wood to completely prevent the nut from spinning or backing out.
