Bearing Difference between ZZ and 2RS

If bearing has same model number then its dimentions are same.

The difference between ZZ and 2RS bearings:

  1. ZZ Bearings (Metal Shielded Bearings):

    • ZZ stands for double metal shield.
    • These bearings have metal shields on both sides.
    • The metal shields do not make direct contact with the inner ring of the bearing.
    • They primarily block larger contaminants (such as dust and debris) from entering the bearing.
    • ZZ bearings provide moderate sealing against solid particles.
    • They are suitable when you need protection without significant friction.
  2. 2RS Bearings (Rubber Sealed Bearings):

    • 2RS stands for double rubber seal.
    • These bearings have rubber seals on both sides.
    • The rubber seals create a tight bond with the inner ring of the bearing.
    • They effectively seal against both solid contaminants and liquids.
    • 2RS bearings provide better protection in contaminated environments.
