(20pcs) 5/16 Inch T-Nut Four Prong Zinc-Plated (Dia. 5/16")

Overview

The  Four-Prong 5/16 Inch T-Nut (Pack of 20 Pcs) is a heavy-duty blind fastener engineered specifically for wood, particle board, MDF, and composite materials. Combining a threaded cylindrical barrel with a wide mounting flange and four sharp prongs, this tee nut provides a secure, permanent steel thread anchor in soft and hard materials where standard nuts cannot be accessed from behind.

How the Four-Prong Grip Works

Installing a standard nut in wood often requires holding both sides simultaneously, which is impossible in blind-hole applications. The four-prong T-nut solves this by utilizing sharp steel tines stamped into its flange. When hammered into a pre-drilled pilot hole, the prongs bite deep into the wood fibers. As an 5/16 Inch bolt is threaded in from the front, the prongs lock against the wood to completely prevent the nut from spinning or backing out.

Flush Mount & Clean Finish

The ultra-thin flange profile sits completely flush against the wood surface when driven home with a mallet. This prevents interference with mating parts, brackets, or panels, ensuring a professional, level fit across custom enclosures and furniture frames.

Common Applications

• 3D Printers & Enclosures: Fastening acrylic panels, electronics mounts, and spool holders to wooden or MDF frames.

• CNC Routing & Spoilboards: Creating secure hold-down anchor points and fixture mounts on wooden work tables.

• Audio Speaker Cabinets: Securing heavy speaker drivers, grills, and internal baffle brackets.

• Custom Furniture & Climbing Walls: Assembling knockdown furniture joints, workbench fixtures, and modular panels.
